Button Makers

Wouldn't it be fun to design your own whimsical buttons? Everyone loves displaying and reading amusing sayings, so why not try to make your own? This can not only be an entertaining hobby, but also a profitable one. If button making is something you want to pursue, you'll need to purchase a button maker.

Types of Button Makers for Individuals

There are several styles and types of button makers available for the individual consumer, from hand press to bench press to manual models.

Hand press button makers are for personal use, or for use by a small club or sports team; these are not intended for producing buttons in mass quantities. As indicated by its name, the hand press button maker is hand-held and works by squeezing together two handles. Most hand press button makers can be purchased as part of a kit with all of the supplies necessary for your button making endeavor.

A bench press button maker is similar to the hand press machine in that it has a handle that must be brought down to press out a button. It is designed to produce buttons in higher volume, and might work well for someone who is looking to make buttons as more than a hobby. The bench press button maker is great for the button making enthusiast who is just starting out, but needs to produce more than a few buttons. Unlike the hand press model, the bench press sits on a table or other flat surface. Most bench press button makers come with a complete kit.

Manual button makers are child's play compared to the semi-automatic button making kit. This button maker looks almost the same as the bench press, but because it's semi-automatic it enables you to punch out hundreds of buttons in about an hour! Of course this model is a little more expensive than the hand presses, but if you're making a high volume of buttons for a profit, it's a worthy investment. Like the others, this button maker comes usually comes with a starter kit filled with the necessary supplies.

Button Makers for Businesses

For those who are going full-tilt into the button making business, there's even a fully automatic button maker! These machines provide quick, effortless button making, perfect for high volume button output. The automatic button maker costs quite a bit more than the other models, so be sure it's worth the investment before you put out the cash. If button making has become your sole purpose of income, this might be a good tool to add to your arsenal. Not all automatic machines are available as a kit, so you'll probably have to purchase starter supplies separately.

Button makers are designed to meet all areas of expertise and extents of need. Whether you're considering button making as a career or a hobby, there's a machine available for you.
